Oligui Nguema and Adjoumani Strengthen Agricultural Cooperation

G abonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema received the Ivorian Minister of Agriculture, Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, on the occasion of the first Côte d'Ivoire – Gabon Business Forum (FACIGA). The discussions focused on land development, food crop production, and the creation of agro-industrial hubs in Gabon.
On November 19, 2025, Libreville hosted a high-level exchange between President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema and Ivorian Minister Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, on the sidelines of FACIGA. The objective: to strengthen South-South economic cooperation and stimulate investments in agribusiness, infrastructure, energy, and finance.
The Gabonese Head of State emphasized that Côte d'Ivoire's agricultural experience is a lever for Gabon, particularly for:
• Improving the development of arable land; • Increasing food crop production; • Creating agro-industrial hubs that generate employment for youth and women.
Oligui Nguema reaffirmed that agriculture is a key pillar of economic diversification and that partnerships must produce concrete and lasting results for the population.
This meeting illustrates Gabon’s commitment to inclusive development and strengthened cooperation with Abidjan.
