Gabon highlights its economic potential during the 5th mission of the Africa Development Club.
Institutional and economic stakeholders took part in the 5th multisectoral mission of the Africa Development Club, a meeting dedicated to promoting investment and strengthening partnerships in Gabon.
O n January 29, Gabon hosted the 5th multisectoral mission of the Africa Development Club, organized by the Attijariwafa Bank Group and its subsidiary, Union Gabonaise de Banque, in partnership with the National Agency for the Promotion of Investments of Gabon (ANPI-Gabon). Held under the theme ‘Gabon, Land of Opportunities,’ this meeting is part of a dynamic effort to promote investment and strengthen economic exchanges between Gabon and its regional and international partners.
This event brought together numerous political, economic, and financial figures, including the Vice President of the Republic, Alexandre Barro Chambrier, as well as several members of the government. Their participation underscored the strategic importance accorded by the Gabonese authorities to the mobilization of private and public investments, considered an essential lever to support the structural transformation of the national economy.
The discussions focused on issues related to Gabon’s economic attractiveness and the diversification of its sources of growth. The speakers emphasized the need to create a favorable business environment, based on institutional stability, the improvement of the investment climate, and the implementation of structural reforms. In this regard, the role of financial institutions and investment promotion agencies was strongly highlighted.
This meeting also highlighted the many opportunities offered by the Gabonese market, particularly in strategic sectors such as industrialization, local resource processing, infrastructure, the digital economy, and regional trade. Exchanges between public and private stakeholders facilitated the identification of high-potential projects, likely to generate added value, create jobs, and strengthen the competitiveness of the national economy.
Through this initiative, Gabon reaffirms its determination to strengthen its economic attractiveness and to build solid and sustainable partnerships, serving the Republic and fostering sustained, inclusive, and resilient national growth.
