Regional Integration: 41 Officers Sworn In at the Courthouse
A solemn commitment to boost development in border areas and strengthen sub-regional cooperation.
O n Saturday, December 20, 2025, the Courthouse hosted the swearing-in ceremony of 41 officers from nine Gabonese administrations. Assigned to the Management Unit of the Integrated Development Program for the Three-Border Zone (PDIZTF), these experts officially assumed their duties in the presence of government authorities.
A Founding Act for the PDIZTF : The ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. François Ndong Obiang, Minister of Reform and Relations with Institutions—acting on behalf of Gabonese diplomacy—accompanied by several members of the Government. This significant milestone marks the official start of service for a multidisciplinary contingent tasked with steering the strategic development of contact zones between Gabon and its neighbors.
The Values of Public Service : Before the court, the President of the Tribunal reminded the recipients of the importance of their mission. These 41 officers were urged to carry out their duties with conscience, dignity, and loyalty. This legal commitment is not a mere formality, but an ethical foundation designed to guarantee the integrity of actions taken in the often complex field of border regions.
Gabon: A Driver of Integration : According to Rodrigue Mounguengui Mounguengui, the program coordinator, this step reinforces the credibility of public action. By providing the PDIZTF Management Unit with sworn personnel, Gabon reaffirms its political will to play a leading role in the regional integration process. The program aims to transform borders into genuine hubs of shared growth.
This ceremony at the Courthouse now provides the Integrated Development Program for the Three-Border Zone with a legitimized team ready for action. Beyond the administrative aspect, it sends a strong signal to sub-regional partners regarding Gabon's determination to stabilize and develop its territorial margins.
