STRIKE THREAT IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE
COSAAP Ramps Up the Pressure
C OSAAP denounces the government's inaction regarding the freezing of administrative situations and the high cost of living. It demands immediate measures and threatens a large-scale movement.
The Coalition of Public Administration Agents' Unions (COSAAP) raised the tone during a press briefing held on November 28, 2025. In front of the social partners and activists present, union leaders denounced a "silent" government despite the social urgency.
According to the Coalition, the scenes recently observed at the Palace of Justice illustrate a deeper malaise: administrative situations frozen for over a decade, with no real progress despite commitments made.
In a context where the high cost of living is severely impacting households—rising food prices, excessive water and electricity bills, and higher transport costs—COSAAP estimates that "everything is increasing, except salaries."
The unionists go further, denouncing the persistence of embezzlement of public funds and a State lifestyle that is "totally out of touch" with the realities on the ground.
The Coalition demands the immediate implementation of the list of demands submitted to the Vice-President on October 16, 2025, particularly the regularization of administrative situations with financial effect.
And it warns: if the government persists in its silence, workers reserve the right to use their "fatal weapon." A clear ultimatum in an already electric social climate.
